The Gravity Drive - Inside Out (Andrew Marston & Chris Lloyd remix)
As nightclubs and festivals return, Andrew Marston is set to release a big summer remix for the newly reopened dancefloors of 2021.
If you're a fan of Avicii, Calvin Harris & David Guetta, 'Inside Out' is a collaborative effort featuring BBC Music presenter and club DJ Andrew Marston alongside ex-Ministry Of Sound and Gatecrasher DJ Chris Lloyd.
Written and performed by BBC Radio 2 and Radio 6 Music regulars The Gravity Drive, the song is an uplifting euphoric track with dual harmony vocals and huge lead synth lines.
"Musically, it fell out of the sky," says The Gravity Drive's Elijah Wolf, "but lyrically, it's about being in a relationship; how you can see yourself through the eyes of another and how that turns you 'Inside Out'.
"Andrew and Chris have done a truly amazing job of turning our tune into a TUNE. We love it!"
The Gravity Drive have received widespread support from the likes of Chris Hawkins, Janice Long, Tom Robinson, Dermot O'Leary and Bob Harris – including live sessions on BBC Radio 2.
Speaking about the project, which began more than two years ago, Andrew says: "The moment I first set my ears on this cutesy innocent tune, I knew it was the perfect melody to lead into to a huge anthemic chorus.
"Think Swedish House Mafia - my vision for this track was to lure you into a false sense of security and just build and build and build.
"The verses are gentle and cosily wrap you in a warm blanket that drives hard towards a serious window-rattling punch that'll upset your neighbours for days on end!"
Andrew has been championing new music on the BBC since June 2005 and is one of the founders of BBC Music Introducing. He's also continued to work as a full time DJ, performing 137 gigs in the year leading up to the pandemic.
"Because of the virus, the majority of the track has been completed over lockdown sending files back and forth.
"I can't wait to see the reaction to this song in the blazing hot sunshine on a soundsystem that we've all missed for the last 16 months."
Producer Chris, who’s been making music since the age of 16, says: "After Andrew brought the track to me, I could instantly hear the great potential to turn it into a dance anthem.
"I wanted to make an epic track that would work in the world's biggest clubs and at huge outdoor festivals - but still be radio friendly.
"Inside Out is the perfect feel-good summertime vibe!"
