Sam first sent his music to me in 2006 and within a year, after playing studios sessions for me and a set on my stage at the Nozstock Festival, I'd selected him to perform at Glastonbury and have a set recorded at BBC Maida Vale studios. I later nominated him to take part in the BBC Electric Proms.
